RN ICU

Overview

• Travel RN float pool position
• Based in Portland, Maine
• 48 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift options: 7:00 am to 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• 75% weekends required
• No call required
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• 3 years of Critical Care Float experience
• 1 year or more of total travel experience
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• Willing to float to multiple different units
• Must be flexible with assignments and may take multiple different assignments in the same shift if needed

Float Scope

• Neuro ICU
• Surgical/Trauma ICU
• Cardiac ICU
• CTICU
• Any IMC at the organization

Unit Details

• Specialty: MICU
• Float Pool
• Patient ratios: 1:2, or 1:3 in IMC
• Number of beds varies by unit

Patient Population

• Basic ICU patients, including sedated, intubated, and pressor patients
• Does not care for high-complexity patients such as CRRT

Preferred

• 3 years of ICU experience

• EMR: EPIC
• Scrub color: Non-specific
• Unacceptable attire: open-toed shoes, crocs, jeans, clothing with large logos/print, profanity
