OT - HRHC Therapy

Overview

• Location: Normal, Illinois
• Setting: Clinical-Allied
• Shift: Day
• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients of all ages.
• Serves as a role model in the delivery of professional services and as a clinical resource for staff and students.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
• Occupational Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy

Responsibilities

• Perform patient transfers with assistance as needed from bed, chair, and floor
• Use safe and appropriate body mechanics when applicable
• Design an appropriate plan of care
• Adjust care based on patient response and available evidence
• Educate patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers
• Evaluate clinical findings to determine diagnoses and outcomes of care
• Perform examinations using reliable and valid methods
• Screen patients to determine the effectiveness of and need for further therapy services
• Use support personnel according to legal standards and ethical guidelines
• Monitor care delivered by support personnel and provide regular feedback
• Document evaluations and plans of care according to department policy
• Complete annual education as assigned to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements, if applicable
