Overview

• Location: Normal, Illinois
• Setting: Hoopeston inpatient / swing bed
• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Shift: Day
• Hours per week: 40

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy

Relevant Clinical Responsibilities

• Patient transfers with assistance as needed from bed, chair, and floor
• Safe and appropriate body mechanics
• Plan of care development and adjustment based on patient response and available evidence
• Patient, family, caregiver, student, and provider education
• Evaluation of clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes of care
• Physical therapy examination and screening
• Documentation in accordance with the Clinical Process Policy
• Use and monitoring of support personnel
• Annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements, if applicable
• Evaluation of impairments related to orthopedic and neurologic conditions
• Objective testing for range of motion, strength, and daily functional tasks
• Daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR
• Application of tape for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
• Therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
• Communication with referring provider regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
• Annual requirements for senior status clinical ladder, including supervision of students, an approved project, and one in-service training
