RN Med Surg Telemetry

Overview

Travel RN float pool position
Day shift: 0700–1930
Weekly guaranteed hours: 48
Weekend hours vary based on unit need
No call requirements

Unit / Assignment Details

Float Pool
Floats every shift to multiple medical, surgical, and cardiology units
Patient ratios vary by unit; typically 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights, with higher ratios possible when stretched
Bed count varies by unit floated to; smallest unit has 15 beds and largest has 40+ beds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
One year or more of total travel experience
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Experience in an Inpatient setting
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS
2 years inpatient hospital experience
Minimum 1 year travel assignments
Prior Float Pool experience
2 years experience

Additional Information

Equipment: Abbott Plum Pumps
EMR: EPIC
Scrub color: any color, as long as it is clean and professional
Unacceptable attire: jeans, t shirts, open-toed shoes, shoes with holes in them
