Physical Therapist

Overview

• Contract role in Lancaster, Ohio.
• Outpatient Therapy setting.
• Schedule: 4-10 hour days or 5-8 hour days per week.
• No weekends or holidays.
• 40 hours per week.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in physical therapy.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in Ohio.
• BLS.
• 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year.
• Experience in supervisory roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, establish treatment goals, plan and carry out treatment, and document evaluations and treatments accurately and timely.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Attendants according to state laws and department work instructions.
• Assist with budgeting, yearly department goals, revising work instructions, in-service training and education, and improving patient satisfaction survey scores.
• Assist with Physical Therapy promotional activities and program development.
• Supervise and mentor volunteers and/or students in adherence with department work instructions and/or APTA guidelines.

Work Environment

• Heavy work.
• Potential exposures include electrical equipment, blood contact, mechanical equipment, burns, chemicals, and infectious disease.
• Protective equipment used per hospital isolation protocols.
