PCU RN

Unit Details
- PCU
- 24 beds
- Ratios: 1:3-4
- Common diagnoses/patient types: Pneumonia, ARDS, Covid-19 infection, HTN Urgency, Angina, cardiac cath patients, ETOH Withdrawal
Required Qualifications
- PCU experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Must be able to titrate drips
- RN license
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts, 1800-0630
- Every other weekend
- 2 of the winter holidays
Additional Job Details
- 24/7 charge nurse and house supervisor
- Nurse aides on unit, ratio 1:10
- Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, BIPAP, and high flow oxygen
- Remote monitor techs with RN approval
- Standby possible if extra staff are available
- Floating required within Region I: St. Anne Hospital (Burien), Virginia Mason Medical Center (Seattle), and St. Francis Hospital (Federal Way)
- Unit/department-specific orientation
- Free on-site parking
