• Unit: L&D/PP/MB
• Beds: 12-bed LDRP
• C-section room: 1
• Annual births: 300

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• AWHONN intermediate or advanced OR C-EFM
• NRP
• 1 year of LDRP experience within the last 3 years
• Comfortable caring for antepartum, intrapartum, and post-partum patients
• Triage experience
• Comfortable circulating and recovering C-sections

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel experience

Schedule and Work Expectations

• 7-7 shifts
• Schedule is made out by leadership for 6 weeks at a time
• Travelers are expected to be flexible and help fill gaps in permanent scheduling
• 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• May be asked to go into the holiday rotation
• Rare call/standby for low census

Floating

• No routine floating
• In an extreme need, may float within Zone 3

Additional Notes

• RNs are required to titrate Pitocin and Mag
• Travelers must be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote
• Unit orientation is 1-3 shifts with a preceptor
• The unit may take overflow mastectomy patients at times
