Description
Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Cheyenne, Wyoming
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour day shifts
Department / Setting
- RT department
- Inpatient
- ICU has 15 beds
- Pediatric floor
- May float throughout the hospital
Required Qualifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC
- Must live at least 25 miles from the facility location
Preferred
- PALS
Schedule
- Every other weekend
- No holiday requirement
- No call or standby call requirement
- Self-scheduling may be allowed
- Block scheduling is attempted
Clinical Responsibilities
- Assist with intubation
- Draw ABGs with EPOC
- Perform EKGs when needed
- Assist with bronchs
- Assist with transports
- May precept
- May work ER and ICU for the day when assigned there
- May move floors after first rounds
Additional Details
- Royal blue scrubs with the CRMC logo on the shirt
- Department orientation is 2 days
- Staffing fluctuates based on patient volume
- High-risk deliveries are covered by the charge RT
- Neonates are not kept if they are high acuity
- Babies stay on CPAP
- High flow nasal cannula is used on the pediatric floor
