Overview

Travel RN assignment in El Paso, Texas
13-week contract
Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
No call
Weekends: 2 per pay period
Unit: 3S IMC/PCU
Discipline: Telemetry
24 beds
Patient ratio: 1:5
EMR: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Competent with interpreting cardiac rhythms

Preferred Qualifications

Leadership experience (Charge)
Critical care experience
Monitor tech experience

Unit Details

GE remote telemetry equipment
Typical patient population includes cardiac cath lab post PACU patients, stroke, and COVID patients

Work Style / Fit

Team player with sense of urgency
Adaptable to change and constructive criticism
Comfortable with a hands-on Director

Dress Code

Galaxy blue scrubs for nurses
Hunter Green scrubs for PCTs
Not acceptable: hooded sweaters/jackets, full pull-over sweaters, fanny packs, crocs shoes

Unit Policies

Huddle at 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM at the nurse’s station
Attendance and punctuality at huddle are expected
Bedside shift report is expected, with patient communication boards updated during BSSR
