Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Michigan
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting
Role Details
- Delegates responsibility to the Physical Therapist Assistant and Aides
- Evaluates patient function using formal and informal testing measures
- Develops a goal-specific treatment regime based on assessment data and patient tolerance
- Submits a written treatment regime as part of the physician-authorized plan of treatment and updates the plan of care as needed
- Devises a treatment schedule with frequency and duration to be discussed with the patient, family, or caregiver and coordinated with clinical support staff
- Educates the patient, family, or caregiver regarding pathology or condition, alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment
