Certified Surgical Technologist - OR

Overview

• Contract role in Bozeman, Montana
• 13-week contract
• 40 hours per week
• 10- to 12-hour shifts depending on needs

Role Summary

• Surgical Technologist functions as the scrub person in the operating room, working under the surgeon and RN to help maintain a safe OR environment and support invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• 2 years of experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Key Responsibilities

• Complete case carts according to preference cards
• Recognize and interpret preference cards to procure instruments and supplies
• Coordinate instrumentation with operating room and sterile processing staff for scheduled and unscheduled cases
• Review the daily schedule with the charge nurse and sterile processing day coordinator to identify turnover delays and scheduling issues
• Manage core phone and communications for the position, delegate duties as needed, and coordinate breaks and lunches
• Serve as a resource for SPD and Surgical Services for procurement of needed supplies and instrumentation
• Coordinate with materials management on supply utilization and deployment

Assignment Notes

• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or other unforeseen circumstances
