Unit Details

OR RN - PEN
16 suites
Average of 30 cases per day
Common cases: General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics
Scrubbing required for RNs: No
OR techs: 2 on shift
EMR: Epic

Schedule and Call

Call: about 120 hours per contract in rotation with staff
Call response time: 30 mins
Weekend call: about 120 hours per contract in rotation with staff
Floating: only if an extreme need, within Zone 1: PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM
Unit/department specific orientation: Yes; 630p-7a Friday-Sunday

Additional Notes

Radius: 60 miles
Driver’s license must be submitted
Clinicians should be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are remote
