• Role: Med Surg/Tele RN
• Location: Middletown, Connecticut
• Facility: Medical North 4
• Unit: Medical North 4
• Beds: 26
• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 3-12s, 7p-7:30a
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: 3/17

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• Connecticut RN license
• 2 years’ experience
• EPIC experience
• Must be able to work every other weekend
• Must be able to work holidays every other
• Must be okay with 48 hours
• Does not take first-time travelers
• No local travelers within 50 miles
• Cannot have blocked schedules
• No RTO within the first two weeks of start date
• Must have minimal RTO
• Prior travel experience required

Preferred

• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Experience with Cerner and EPIC

Unit Details

• Ratios: Days 1:3-4, Nights 1:7-8
• Charge nurse: Yes, shared with North 6
• Nurse aides: Yes, 1:8
• Tele: No
• Vents: CPAP HS only
• Hospitalist: 24/7
• IV team: Yes, 7am-8:30pm; nurse resource available 24/7 for IV help 7pm-7am
• RT: 24/7; nurses do all respiratory treatments
• Pharmacy: 24/7
• Floor orientation: 2 shifts
• Common patient types: Everything general medical

• Scrub color: Caribbean blue; black and white shirts may be worn under the uniform, top layer must be uniform color, pants may be black or Caribbean blue.
