Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Antioch, California
• Based in Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: 5x8 Monday-Friday
• Variable shift times: 7:00am-3:30pm or 12:00pm-8:30pm
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with 2 years of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ARMRIT
• ARRT (MR)

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT (R)
• Previous experience as an MRI Technologist
• Prior work experience in an acute care facility

Role Details

• Performs MRI procedures or examinations under the order of a licensed independent practitioner
• Applies magnetic resonance safety principles to minimize risk
• Correlates clinical indications and established protocols using appropriate pulse sequences and technical factors
• Works with PACS and multiple computerized systems
• Educates patients and answers questions before the study
• Must be knowledgeable of MRI procedures, cross-sectional anatomy, body mechanics for safe patient movement, and MRI safety risks
• Provides care for patients of all ages, including neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
