Tower 2 Med/Surg - Ortho RN
Location
- Livingston, Texas
Unit / Setting
- 12-bed unit
- Ortho patient population
- Ratios: 5-6/1
- Tele monitor techs monitor patients; RNs must be able to read strips
- PCTs are present, 12/1
- Respiratory support on unit includes Cpap, Bipap, and high flow patients
Required Qualifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- Great communication
- Time management
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- Scheduling is by manager; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays are required
- No call or standby
Floating
- Must be willing and able to float to all med/tele units
Orientation
- 2 shadow/orientation shifts prior to working independently
Dress Code
- Navy blue
