RN - ICU
Location: Richmond, Virginia Floor: 5 Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Employment Type: Travel
Unit Details
- Unit: ICU
- Beds: 10
- Patient Ratio: 1:2-3
- Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge, 4 RNs, 1 unit secretary
- Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge, 4 RNs
- Equipment: Bedside telemetry monitoring
- Floating Area(s): IMCU, NSICU, MedSurg as needed
- Weekends and On-Call: Every other weekend. No on-call required.
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
- Unit Policies: Attached
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- 2 years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
- ICU experience within the last year
- Experience with ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
- Proficiency with titration of sedation, analgesia, and vasoactive cardiac medications
Typical Procedures
- Assistance with RSI and arterial or central line placement
- Slow/continuous dialysis via TABLO (SLED)
