Endo RN

• Location: Nyack, New York
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Shift: Days, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
• Unit: Endoscopy GI Lab, 3 suites

Required Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Endoscopy experience (must have)
• Flu vaccine required
• Unit/department-specific orientation

Preferred Qualifications

• Endoscopic ultrasounds and bronchoscopies (a plus, not mandatory)

Role Details

• Duties: All endoscopy-related skills, including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure
• Common cases: EGD, colonoscopy
• Ratios: 1:1 intra-procedure; 1:3-4 pre/post
• Clinical knowledge: Vital signs and cardiac monitor knowledge
• Team: Techs and nursing assistants work in the department
• Charge nurse/house supervisor: Not included in this role

Schedule and Call

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 4 with a 30-minute lunch (the additional notes list 8:30 to 5 with a 30-minute lunch)
• Self-scheduling: Not allowed
• Weeknight call: No
• Weekend call: Voluntary, not required
• Holiday call: Not required
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Floating: Does not float
