Description
CT Tech - Radiology
Location: Chicago, Illinois Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 40
Role Summary
Reviews patient history and physician orders, educates patients on procedures, and prepares and administers contrast media or medications within scope of practice. Positions patients, performs imaging procedures, analyzes image quality, and takes corrective action such as repositioning or repeating scans. Also prepares equipment, follows safety standards, performs quality control, troubleshoots malfunctions, and enters and reports scan results.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in radiologic technology
- ARRT certification in RD & CT, attached to submission
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association, attached to submission
- Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
- 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Schedule and Float Requirements
- Shifts are four 10-hour shifts, plus 50% on call with every other weekend
- Required to float between X-ray and CT departments
