Circulating RN – Operating Room

Overview

• Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM), 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week, with mandatory call
• Weekend Work: Required

• Local Candidates: Candidates within 50 miles of the facility should indicate this at submission.
• Time Off: Pre-approved time off is at the manager's discretion. Requested time off must be included at submission.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Operating Room experience of 3 years
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing

Health and Screening

• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start, not required annually
• Drug Screen: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start, excluding a marijuana panel. Instant drug screen accepted.
• California Drug Testing: Urine marijuana testing is prohibited. Saliva THC testing may be required, in which case both urine and saliva screens are needed.
• TB: Negative TB test (QuantiFERON, T-SPOT, or 2-step PPD) within 1 year of start, updated annually. Chest X-ray required for a positive result.
• TB Questionnaire: Required annually for all candidates
• N95 Fit Test: Required within 1 year of start and renewed annually. Onsite fit testing is not offered; any N95 mask is accepted.
• Tdap: Within the last 10 years (may decline)
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart. Low or equivocal titers require 1 booster after titer. Declination options vary by condition.
• Hepatitis B: Surface antibody titer required (declination accepted for low or equivocal titer)
• Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines 28 days apart (declination accepted for low or equivocal titer)
• Flu Vaccine: Required November 1 through April 30 (declination accepted)
• COVID Vaccination Record: Preferred

Onboarding and Training

• Education Modules: Facility education modules required (approximately 8 hours). Certificates must be uploaded before start.
• HIPAA Education: Required for all candidates, including per diem. Must be completed before the modules.
• Policies: Review of the drug and alcohol-free policy, dress and appearance policy, and hand hygiene policy before start
• Photo: Clear headshot photo required for the badge
• Employment Application: Required
• References: 2 professional references required
• Internal Evaluation: Annual internal evaluation required. Must be on file if the candidate has worked with the agency for a year or more.
