Description
CT Tech
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology Employment type: Travel/Contract Location: Mission Viejo, California Start date: ASAP Contract length: 13 weeks Facility type: Acute care hospital, 488 staffed beds Unit: CT Scan
Schedule
- Shifts: Evening (4x10 hours, 15:00-1:00) or Night (4x10 hours, 18:00-4:00)
- Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Start times: Vary between 15:00 and 18:00 as needed
- On-call: Not required
- Weekends: Rotating, and likely to exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
- Holidays: Must work 3 of 5 major holidays
- Block schedule: Open to accommodating, at manager discretion
- Guaranteed hours: The facility may call off once per two-week pay period
- Float: May be required to float to another facility in the system
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in California
- 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association, RQI, or the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- Fluoro Permit
- ARRT certification
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Background check: Completed within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived or worked in the past 7 years; updated annually
- Drug screen: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instant results accepted
- Physical exam: Completed within 1 year of start, signed by an MD, NP, PA, or DO
- TB screening: Negative IGRA/QuantiFERON, or 2 PPDs, within 12 months of start
- Vaccinations: Documentation or signed declination for MMR, varicella, hepatitis B, and TDAP (TDAP within 10 years)
- Flu vaccine: Required during flu season, or a declination on the required form
- COVID vaccine: Documentation preferred; declinations are not required
- Fit test: Required, with a fit mask that can be completed onsite
- RespSafety clearance: Required for all candidates, updated annually
- Annual training: About 3.5 hours of required regulatory modules, updated annually
- Floating policy: Acknowledgment form required
- Badge photo: Passport-style, neutral background, submitted before start
- Return to Work (RTO): Must be included at time of submission
Experience and Documentation
- References: 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Employment application: Required, covering at least the last 5 years of employment
