RN - Med/Surg

Location: Lafayette, Colorado Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730), 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Role Summary

Performs independent and delegated nursing functions under state Board of Nursing practice standards. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care
• Collecting and assessing health data, and performing health teaching and counseling
• Providing supportive and restorative therapy and treatment, directly or through delegation, supervision, or teaching
• Executing delegated medical functions and referring patients for further evaluation or treatment
• Reviewing and monitoring therapy and treatment plans
• Documenting in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Performing other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg experience (1 year)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, based on business need
• May be required to be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift
