Schedule: 3x12s – Nights
Start Date: ASAP
Certifications Required: BLS
License: Active TN or Compact RN license
Experience: Previous LTAC, med/surg, or critical care experience strongly preferred
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a night shift position at a Long-Term Acute Care facility in Bristol, Tennessee. This RN will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting a multidisciplinary care team focused on positive recovery outcomes for medically complex patients.
Key Responsibilities:

Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
-
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient condition and goals
-
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to coordinate care

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and patient responses
-
Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs, CNAs, and support staff
-
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
-
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning
-
Promote a safe and supportive care environment for patients and staff
-
Maintain communication with leadership on equipment, training, and staffing needs
-
Serve as charge RN as needed following orientation

Support staff growth through mentoring and professional development
Requirements:

Active TN RN license or compact RN license
-
Current BLS certification (AHA required)

1–2 years of recent acute care or LTAC nursing experience

Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills
-
Familiarity with electronic medical records and care documentation standards
