HumanEdge Health is seeking a skilled LTAC RN for a 13-week travel contract in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-acuity setting while supporting long-term healing and recovery for patients.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality care by following the individualized nursing care plan. The RN supports and leads a team of healthcare professionals, including LPNs, CNAs, and new team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and create tailored care plans.

• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.

• Actively participate in team conferences to support interdisciplinary care coordination.

• Educate patients and families on treatment goals and discharge plans.

• Supervise and delegate responsibilities to ancillary staff to ensure safe and effective care.

• Foster a safe environment through proper equipment usage, infection control, and hazard awareness.

• Support unit morale and function through clear communication and teamwork.

• Manage supplies and monitor costs while maintaining high-quality patient outcomes.

• Assume charge responsibilities when needed.

• Pursue continued education and skill development.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (PA or compact)

• BLS required; ACLS preferred

• Prior LTAC or acute care experience highly preferred

• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
