We’re seeking skilled Travel Respiratory Therapists to provide essential respiratory care in a dynamic LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) setting. Candidates must be comfortable working days and able to start quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport under physician direction.

• Administer routine and advanced respiratory treatments, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, aerosol therapy, and oxygen therapy.

• Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, and secretion management.

• Monitor patients using oximetry, capnography, and interpret chest x-rays for evaluation.

• Perform pulmonary function tests, 12-lead EKGs, and basic arrhythmia recognition.

• Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and percutaneous tracheostomies.

• Manage ventilatory equipment setup, self-testing, and ongoing patient monitoring.

• Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results for ventilation efficiency.

• Participate in code response and deliver CPR per BLS and ACLS protocols.

• Document all care provided, treatment response, and shift handoffs accurately.

• Maintain accurate charge entry and assist with equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri (or compact eligibility)

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) strongly preferred

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute or LTAC setting

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Proficiency with mechanical ventilation and critical care respiratory protocols
