We are actively seeking experienced LTAC RNs for night shifts at a long-term acute care facility in Birmingham, AL. If you're looking for a meaningful travel contract where your clinical skills and leadership will make a real impact, this is the perfect opportunity.
Job Overview:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in an LTAC setting, you will maintain the delivery of high-quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed, collaborating closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and supervising LPNs, NAs, and orientees.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform full nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.

Create and manage individualized care plans based on assessment findings.

Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely.

Collaborate in team conferences to update patient progress and goals.

Educate patients and families about health care needs and discharge planning.

Take initiative in clinical decision-making and escalate complex cases as needed.

Supervise and support ancillary staff through clear delegation and leadership.

Contribute to a positive unit culture with strong communication and teamwork.

Maintain awareness of supplies, equipment, and cost-effective care practices.

Assume charge responsibilities as needed after orientation.

Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.
Requirements:

Active RN license (Alabama or compact)

Minimum 1 year of LTAC, med-surg, or critical care RN experience
-
BLS (required), ACLS preferred

Strong documentation and team communication skills

Ability to start ASAP
