Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC | Savannah, GA

Location: Savannah, Georgia
Shift: Nights | 3x12s
Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP

We’re seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility in Savannah, GA. This is a great opportunity to work with medically complex patients and make a difference in their recovery journey.

Position Summary:

The RN is responsible for providing direct and supervisory nursing care, ensuring that the individualized care plan is implemented, evaluated, and adjusted to meet the needs of each patient. This includes overseeing LPNs, CNAs, and new staff/orientees while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission

  • Develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

  • Provides and documents patient education throughout the stay and at discharge

  • Initiates and supports discharge planning starting on day one

  • Maintains detailed, timely, and accurate charting and documentation

  • Uses clinical judgment and problem-solving to manage patient needs

  • Supervises and delegates tasks appropriately to ancillary staff

  • Participates actively in team conferences and unit-based care planning

  • Assumes charge responsibilities as needed after orientation

  • Fosters a positive, safe, and efficient work environment

  • Prioritizes and organizes daily responsibilities to meet patient and unit needs

  • Communicates effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and management

  • Pursues ongoing professional development through education and self-study

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in Georgia (or compact license)

  • BLS (ACLS preferred)

  • Minimum 1 year of LTAC or med-surg/telemetry experience preferred

  • Strong critical thinking, documentation, and patient education skills
