Travel Registered Dietitian – Newport News, VA
13-Week Contract | Day Shift | 5x8s
HumanEdge Health is actively hiring an experienced Registered Dietitian for a 13-week travel assignment in Newport News, Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive clinical team and provide critical nutritional care in an acute setting.
Position Highlights:

Develop, implement, and monitor Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)

Complete initial nutrition assessments and follow-up evaluations
-
Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition plans in collaboration with pharmacy and physicians
-
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, including wound care and vent weaning teams
-
Educate patients, families, and clinical staff on diet, supplementation, and therapeutic nutrition
-
Conduct tray audits, menu planning, and ensure food service compliance with care plans
-
Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance efforts
-
Maintain detailed documentation and patient records in compliance with facility standards
Requirements:

Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and VA licensure (or eligibility)

Experience in acute or long-term acute care settings preferred
-
Strong clinical skills in medical nutrition therapy, critical care, and enteral/parenteral nutrition

Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Ability to work full-time, (5x8s), day shift
