HumanEdge Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Occupational Therapist for a contract assignment in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative rehab setting while supporting patient-centered care and maximizing functional independence.

Position Overview:

The Occupational Therapist (OT) plans, develops, administers, and supervises treatment programs designed to help patients improve or regain daily living and functional skills. This role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patient families, with an emphasis on safety, clinical excellence, and professional accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess each patient’s functional status and develop individualized care plans in alignment with physician orders

  • Plan and deliver appropriate treatment interventions using evidence-based techniques

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, adaptive equipment, and at-home strategies

  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and students

  • Provide coverage planning for absences and maintain scheduling flexibility

  • Document all evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries within required timeframes

  • Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with facility and departmental guidelines

  • Promote and practice safe patient handling, infection control, and equipment usage

  • Demonstrate initiative in collaborating with peers for best-practice care delivery

  • Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to a culture of quality

  • Maintain professionalism and positive communication with patients, families, and staff

  • Uphold patient confidentiality and compliance with applicable regulations

Requirements:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in Pennsylvania

  • NBCOT Certification

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred

  • Strong documentation, communication, and time management skills

  • Team player with a patient-first mindset
