Schedule: 5x8s | Day Shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 7:30 AM–4:00 PM EST)
Location: SMH General Radiology – Rochester, NY
On-Call: Yes – on-call, callbacks, and holiday coverage per unit needs

HumanEdge Health is hiring an experienced Travel X-Ray Technologist to join a top-rated radiology department in Rochester, NY. This assignment is ideal for professionals with recent trauma center and OR imaging experience, especially those comfortable with c-arm/o-arm usage.

Position Summary:
As a Travel X-Ray Tech, you’ll provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a Level 1 Trauma Center, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during all procedures. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders

• Perform diagnostic imaging using X-ray equipment per written instructions

• Explain procedures clearly to patients and provide support throughout exams

• Position and lift patients as needed

• Produce clear, diagnostic-quality images for radiologist interpretation

• Safely operate and maintain radiologic equipment, minimizing exposure

• Use electronic health records (EHR) and PACS for proper documentation

• Respond promptly to equipment issues and safety concerns

• Maintain compliance with dual-patient identifier protocols

• Participate in on-call and holiday coverage rotation

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

• ARRT certification (R) required

• New York State radiology license (or eligibility to obtain before start)

• Minimum 2 years of X-ray tech experience

• BLS certification (AHA only)

• Experience in Level 1 Trauma Center

• Must have used c-arm/o-arm within the past 8 months

• Ability to lift/move patients and stand for extended periods

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
