Position Overview:
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. The Main OR cares for a diverse range of patients across multiple surgical specialties, including: orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma.

The facility operates two DaVinci robots for multi-specialty use and has an advanced transplant program for liver, kidney, and heart surgeries. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and skilled in both scrub and circulate roles.

Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical specialties in a Level 1 trauma setting.

• Scrub and circulate for complex cases, including transplant, orthopedic, reconstructive, and neuro procedures.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and patient safety standards.

Requirements:

• Active RN License (NY State ONLY)

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience; Level 1 trauma experience preferred

• Ability to scrub and circulate in multiple specialties

Certifications Required:

• BLS – American Heart Association ONLY

• ACLS – Preferred

Preferred Surgical Experience:

• Specialty cases (transplants, plastics, reconstructive)

• Craniotomy

• Strong orthopedic background
