Position Overview:
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment in the Main Operating Room in Rochester, NY. The OR provides care for a wide variety of patients across multiple surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma.

The facility operates two DaVinci robots for multi-specialty procedures and maintains a comprehensive transplant program for liver, kidney, and heart surgeries. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and capable of both scrub and circulating duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and the perioperative team during a variety of surgical procedures.

• Scrub and circulate for complex cases, including transplant, orthopedic, and specialty surgeries.

• Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper handling of instruments.

• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Document procedures accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols.

Requirements:

• NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience; Level 1 trauma experience preferred

• Ability to scrub and circulate across multiple surgical specialties

Certifications Required:

• BLS – American Heart Association ONLY
