Position Overview:
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Cardiac OR RN for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. The Adult Cardiac OR provides care for a wide variety of patients, including those undergoing CABG, TAVI, and advanced heart failure procedures such as VAD implantation, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the OR team cares for patients of all ages. Scrub experience is required, with circulating experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative care for adult cardiac patients, including minimally invasive and advanced heart failure procedures.

• Scrub for cardiac surgeries and assist with intraoperative management.

• Circulate as needed to support surgical team and patient safety.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary team members.

• Maintain sterile technique and document procedures accurately.

Requirements:

• Active RN License (NY State ONLY)

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience, Level 1 trauma experience preferred

• Ability to scrub and circulate

• Experience with minimally invasive cardiac procedures and VADs (HeartMate 2 or 3) required

• Cardiac transplant experience preferred

Certifications Required:

• BLS – American Heart Association ONLY

• ACLS – American Heart Association ONLY

Preferred:

• Cardiac OR experience in a Level 1 trauma center
