Job Opportunity: EP Monitoring Tech

Job Overview

The Electrophysiology (EP) Monitor Tech provides assistance to Electrophysiologists during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implant procedures. This role involves supporting complex cardiac procedures and ensuring smooth operation of the EP lab.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Electrophysiologists during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implants
• Implement EP pacing monoverses and perform related measurements
• Operate and assist with GE MacLab & CardioLab systems (preferred)
• Support setup and coordination with multiple vendors and mapping systems (Carto, Abbott, Rhythmia) during ablations
• Communicate with physicians and in-room staff to ensure availability of equipment and supplies
• Facilitate room turnover and ensure on-time starts for patient care
• Coordinate with Charge Nurse and third-party vendors for scheduled procedures
• Document procedures primarily using Epic (experience preferred but not required)

Typical Procedures

• RF ablations (Cryo ablations) for Atrial Fibrillation/Flutter, Atrial Tachycardia, AVNRT, WPW, and other arrhythmias
• Device implants including:

  • Traditional pacemakers (single, dual, CSP, BiV)
  • Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICD), including Subcutaneous ICD
  • Leadless pacemakers, loop recorders
  • Left Atrial Appendage Closure devices (Watchman, Amulet)
• Low risk laser procedures (HRE)

Qualifications

• Required Tech License: RCES or Radiologic Tech license
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)

Preferred Experience

• Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience
• Experience with GE MacLab & CardioLab systems
• Experience with Bloom stimulator
• Familiarity with Epic documentation system

Work Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Primarily day shifts with some evening shifts and on-call as needed
• Contract length: 17 weeks
