Sonography Technician

Travel Sonographer – Ultrasound/Vascular | Syracuse, NY

Start Date: 8/25/2025 
Duration: 13 Weeks 
Shift: Nights, 4x10s 
Schedule: Thursday – Sunday, 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview: 
This role requires an experienced sonographer with strong breast ultrasound background due to the complexity of our high-risk patient population. Registration in breast ultrasound is optimal but not required. Must have experience with breast scanning; procedural background in biopsies is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications:

<ul>
	<li>
	Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program (CHEA/USDOE accreditation in diagnostic medical sonography)
	
	</li><li>
	RDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/Gyn – Required
	
	</li><li>
	Minimum 2 years scanning experience – Required
	
	</li><li>
	Breast ultrasound experience – Required
	
	</li><li>
	Biopsy procedural experience – Preferred
	
</li></ul>

Responsibilities:

<ul>
	<li>
	Perform and communicate diagnostic examinations using sonography
	
	</li><li>
	Operate and maintain sonographic equipment; ensure daily Q/A compliance
	
	</li><li>
	Manage patient scheduling and lab operations during assigned shifts
	
	</li><li>
	Utilize independent judgment to differentiate normal vs. pathologic findings
	
	</li><li>
	Obtain thorough medical history and communicate results to radiologists
	
</li></ul>
