Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department


Position Overview

  • Dayshift RN position in Adult Emergency Department (ED)
  • Will float to Pediatric ED and other cross-campus Adult ED areas as needed
  • Shifts: 07:00 - 19:30, including every other weekend and some holidays

Qualifications

  • Current New York State RN license
  • Certified in BLS (Basic Life Support) and able to maintain certification
  • Minimum 1.5 years recent acute care experience (within past 2 years) in a similar size and level hospital
  • Experience with both Adult and Pediatric patients required
  • Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred
  • EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred
  • Travelers considered only if experienced in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • No history of professional license suspension, investigation, or professional liability claims
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check

Duties

  • Perform majority of patient care skills with minimal orientation and supervision
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments in an acute care setting within the specialty
