Travel RN – Surgical Step Down (Nights)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 10/17/2025
Shift: Nights | 12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend & some holidays required
Job Summary:
HumanEdge Health is seeking experienced night shift RNs for a 13-week travel assignment in the Adult Cardiac/Trauma Surgical Step Down unit in Syracuse, NY. Candidates should have prior Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience and be proficient with EPIC.
Assignment Details:

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend & some holidays

Set schedules; extended time-off requests (more than 7 days) will not be granted
Qualifications:
-
Active New York RN license – Required
-
BLS Certification – Required
-
ACLS Certification – Preferred
-
Minimum 1.5 years of recent critical care or step-down experience in an acute care facility of similar size/level – Required
-
Trauma experience in Level 1 or Level 2 hospital – Required
-
EPIC EMR experience – Preferred
-
Strong communication, assessment, and clinical judgment skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients in the Surgical Step Down unit
-
Perform thorough nursing assessments and implement individualized care plans
-
Administer medications, monitor cardiac/trauma patients, and manage telemetry
-
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
-
Deliver patient care with minimal orientation and supervision
