Travel RN – Pediatric Critical Care PACU
Location: Syracuse, NY
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts | Days & Evenings | Some weekends required
Job Summary:
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Downtown Syracuse. This travel assignment is ideal for a pediatric critical care nurse with PACU experience. The schedule includes a mix of day and evening 12-hour shifts over a 2-week period.
Assignment Details:

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule: 12-hour shifts – Days (07:00–19:30) and Evenings (11:00–23:30)

Weekend Rotation: Some weekends required
-
6 shifts scheduled per 2-week pay period
Qualifications:
-
Active New York RN license – Required
-
BLS Certification – Required
-
Minimum 1.5 years recent pediatric critical care experience in an acute care facility of similar size/level – Required
-
PACU experience – Preferred
-
EPIC EMR experience – Preferred
-
Strong communication, assessment, and clinical judgment skills
Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care for pediatric patients in the PACU

Monitor patient status, manage post-anesthesia recovery, and respond to clinical changes
-
Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and the healthcare team to ensure safe patient outcomes

Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and maintain accurate documentation

Provide care with minimal orientation and supervision
