Travel RN – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shifts: Days & Evenings | 12-hour shifts | Some weekends required

Job Summary:
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Adult Operating Room at Downtown Syracuse Hospital. This travel assignment is ideal for RNs with strong OR experience across multiple specialties including general, orthopedic, trauma, neuro, and robotics cases. Scrub experience is required.

Assignment Details:

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Schedule: Mix of 8-hour shifts (07:00–15:30, 11:00–19:30, 15:00–23:30) and 12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30, 11:00–23:30) totaling 80 hours per 2-week pay period

• Days: Monday–Friday

• Weekend Rotation: Every 3rd weekend required

Qualifications:

• Active New York RN license – Required

• Minimum 2 years recent OR experience – Required

• Scrub experience – Required

• Experience in general, orthopedic, trauma, neuro, and robotics procedures – Required

• BLS Certification – Required

• EPIC or other EMR experience – Preferred

• Strong communication, assessment, and clinical judgment skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care to adult patients in the OR

• Scrub and circulate for various surgical procedures

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care

• Maintain sterile technique and proper documentation

• Perform patient assessments and interventions with minimal orientation and supervision
