MRI Tech - Travel Position

Location: Albany, New York

Job Description

• Perform technical procedures and assist in clinical evaluation and patient care under the direction of Medical Director, Section Head, manager, and Radiologist.
• Utilize MRI modality to create diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient safety and provide a positive patient experience.
• Enforce radiation safety measures in compliance with New York State Department of Health code part 16 (for radiation-producing modalities).
• Support teaching and continuous learning as technology evolves.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Applied Science Degree required.
• Diploma in X-Ray or Vocational School Diploma from an approved professional academic imaging program required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Maintain competent imaging skills in practicing modality.
• Practice in compliance with hospital/department policies and New York state and accrediting agency standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registered upon hire required.
• New York State registration or limited permit to practice in New York required upon hire.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required upon hire.

Schedule

• Sunday through Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
