Travel Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN
Location: Great Falls, MT
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Overview:
A facility in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years PCU experience (3 years preferred) and prior travel experience. This role provides care for hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on a medical-surgical unit, with the option for temp-to-perm placement.

Requirements:

Active MT RN license (MT is a compact state)
-
BLS, ACLS, PALS required
-
EPNC, TNCC preferred
-
Minimum 2 years PCU experience (3 years preferred)

Travel experience required
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
-
Pediatric experience preferred
-
Post-heart catheterization care preferred
-
Proficient with advanced medical equipment: A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, ventilatory support, basic cardiac telemetry, EKG interpretation

Able to manage IV medications including Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Dopamine

Skilled in care for patients with pacemakers, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, sepsis, and a broad range of surgical cases
Job Duties:
-
Provide physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients
-
Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, multiple IVs, and short-term ventilation support

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and desired outcomes

Act as clinical leader and assist with precepting staff

Direct RN, LPN, CNA, housekeeping, and dietary staff as needed

Participate in discharge planning and coordination

Assist the Medical-Surgical unit as needed when staffing is required
