Position Overview
HumanEdge Health is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a Pediatric Emergency Department travel assignment in Syracuse, NY. This fast-paced Peds ED requires strong acute care skills and prior emergency or pediatric ER experience.
Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a pediatric emergency unit

Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy
-
Obtain and document vitals, assessments, and patient histories
-
Assist providers during exams and procedures

Administer medications and injections
-
Implement nursing care under RN direction
-
Monitor patient responses and report changes
-
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EMR

Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe patient care
Shift Details
-
12-hour evening/night shifts
-
Every other weekend required

Some holidays required
Requirements
-
Active New York State LPN License
-
CPR (BLS) certification
-
Minimum 1 year of LPN experience required

Peds ED or Emergency Department experience required

Must be able to perform IV placement and phlebotomy

Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred

Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently in a high-acuity setting
