Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
• Planning for the safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department.
• Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegating patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - ARC/AHA only
• Experience: Preferably 2 years in a similar role.
• Licensure: Tennessee or Multistate License.
• Availability: Must be able to work every other weekend and every other holiday as needed.
• Distance Requirement: Travelers must be greater than 50 miles from the facility.

• Charting System: Cerner, Merge, and PowerChart.
