Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. This role requires the utilization of the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
• Anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 prior travel assignments.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby.
• Flexibility to float to other units as needed.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, NIHSS.
• AHCA required for Florida placements.

Additional Information

• Housing within 50 miles of the facility must be secured prior to acceptance.
• Address of housing must be provided before acceptance.
• The position may require floating to other units based on facility needs.
