Travel: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric PACU / Critical Care
Location: Syracuse, NY
Start Date: 12/5
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour Days/Evenings (rotating within the same pay period)
Schedule: 8 ten-hour shifts every two weeks; weekend rotation required
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Pediatric Critical Care RN for a travel assignment in the Pediatric PACU at a major downtown Syracuse hospital. The RN will provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care to pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia, requiring strong clinical skills and sound judgment in a critical care setting.
Unit Details:

Pediatric PACU – pre- and post-anesthesia care for children
-
High-acuity environment in a Level I Trauma facility
-
Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
Duties Include:
-
Delivering pre- and post-anesthesia nursing care for pediatric patients

Performing thorough nursing assessments and interventions with minimal supervision

Monitoring vital signs, airway management, pain control, and patient recovery

Communicating effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and families
Requirements:

License: Active NY State RN license

Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred

Experience:

Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience (within past 2 years) in a comparable acute care or trauma center

Pediatric critical care experience required

PACU experience preferred

Charting: Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
