Pediatric Inpatient Float Pool RN (Night Shift)

Job Summary

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for night shifts in an inpatient pediatric float pool. The role involves providing patient care in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision.

Qualifications

  • Current New York State RN license (required)
  • Certified in BLS with ability to be recertified
  • Minimum 1.5 years recent experience (within past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level
  • At least 2 years experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
  • Experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers required for travelers
  • EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • No history of professional license suspension, investigation, or professional liability claims
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check

Work Schedule

  • Night shifts
  • Every other weekend required
  • Some holidays required

Skills & Experience

  • RN inpatient pediatrics experience required
  • Level 1 trauma hospital experience highly desired
  • EPIC experience highly desired

Duties

  • Perform majority of patient care skills
  • Conduct nursing assessments in an acute care pediatric setting
