Job Opportunity: Night Shift Registered Nurse - Adult Emergency Department

Location

• New York State (specific city/facility not disclosed)

Position Details

• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule includes every other weekend and some holidays
• Department: Adult Emergency Department
• Patient Population: Adult and Pediatric patients
• Trauma Level: Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred
• Electronic Medical Records: EPIC experience preferred

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license required
• Certified in BLS (Basic Life Support) and able to be recertified
• Minimum 1.5 years recent acute care experience within the past 2 years, preferably in a hospital of similar size and trauma level
• Experience in Level 1 trauma hospital highly desired
• EPIC EMR experience highly desired
• Travelers considered only if experienced in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation
• No involvement as a defendant in professional liability claims
• Legal right to work in the U.S. required
• Must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check

Duties

• Perform majority of patient care skills independently
• Conduct thorough nursing assessments in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision
