Travel MRI Technologist – MRI Technology – Boston, MA

Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: December 22, 2025
End Date: March 21, 2026
Shift: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM and 8-hour Rotating FLEX (may include nights)
Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Weekends included

Weekly Schedule Coverage Includes:

• Saturday: 6:30 AM – 9:00 PM

• Sunday: 6:30 AM – 9:00 PM

• Monday: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Required Experience & Certifications:

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience

• ARRT certification required

• BLS (AHA) required

• Epic EMR experience required

• Experience with GE and Siemens 1.5T & 3T MRI scanners

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Position Overview:
This MRI Technologist role requires a flexible schedule and the ability to float to the most critical coverage areas. The technologist must be skilled in performing high-quality MRI exams independently, supporting a high-volume academic medical center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients, equipment, coils, and monitors for MRI exams

• Screen all patients and staff for ferrous metal hazards

• Select and document pulse sequences; recommend protocol adjustments as needed

• Review and manipulate images for quality before sending to PACS

• Ensure accurate and timely PACS verification

• Provide thorough, clear patient communication and support during exams

• Start IV lines for contrast administration and monitor for reactions

• Maintain departmental logs, statistics, and accurate documentation per DPH standards

• Participate in training and clinical evaluation of students and MRI Tech I staff
