Description

Travel RN – SICU – Boston, MA

Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: December 15, 2025
End Date: March 14, 2026
Shift: 12-hour Day/Night Rotating (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM / 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekends: Every other weekend required

Experience Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of recent SICU experience required

  • Level 1 trauma experience required

  • Experience with surgical ICU patient populations including:

    • Transplant

    • Hepatobiliary

    • General surgery

  • Epic experience required

Certifications Required:

  • BLS (AHA)

  • ACLS (AHA)

Unit Details:

  • 8-bed SICU

  • Patient ratios 1:1–1:3 depending on acuity

  • High-acuity surgical population; must be comfortable managing rapidly evolving clinical conditions

Position Overview:
The SICU RN will care for diverse, high-acuity surgical patients in a Level 1 trauma environment. Rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights) are required, along with every-other-weekend coverage. Candidates must have strong trauma, critical care, and surgical ICU backgrounds, with confidence managing complex transplants and major surgical cases.
