Travel Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical Telemetry (Float)
Location: Boston, MA

Shift: 12H Rotating (07:00 PM - 07:30 AM)

Position Overview:
FLOAT POOL POSITION supporting 15 medical-surgical units in a 600-bed facility. Rotating shifts include days, evenings, and nights. Every 4-week period may include one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holidays required. No call required.

Unit Responsibilities:

• RT manages ventilators; RN responsible for administering nebulizers.

• Unit-specific procedures include 12-lead EKGs, Lasix gtts, blood transfusions, telemetry monitoring.

• Inpatient patient ratios: 4:1 on days, 6:1 on nights.

• Schedule is a combination of 8 and 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights or days/evenings.

Patient Populations:

• Neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, GU, hips and joints, oncology, liver and kidney transplant, vascular.

Requirements:

• Current RN license

• 3+ years related work experience

• Prior travel experience required

• CPR-AHA and ACLS-AHA required

• Epic EMR experience required

• Basic computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a teaching hospital

• Specialty area expertise

• Level I trauma experience
