Travel Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry / Float Pool)
Location: Boston, MA
Start Date: 02/02/26
Assignment Length: 4 weeks
Hours: 36 hours/week
Shift: 12-hour Rotating – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Assignment Overview:

• Float pool position covering 15 medical-surgical units in a 600-bed facility

• Units include: Neurology, Cardiac, Bariatric, General Medicine, General Surgery, GYN, GU, Hips & Joints, Oncology, Liver & Kidney Transplant, and Vascular

• Patient ratios: 4:1 on days, 6:1 on nights

• Weekly orientation provided

• Rotating days/evenings/nights, combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts

• Every other weekend and holidays required

• No call required

Responsibilities:

• Administer nebulizers (ventilators managed by RT)

• Perform unit-specific procedures: 12-lead EKGs, Lasix gtt, blood transfusions, telemetry monitoring

• Support multiple specialties as a float pool RN

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a high-acuity teaching hospital environment

Requirements:

• Active MA RN license required at submission

• Minimum 3+ years related Medical-Surgical experience

• Prior travel experience required

• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required

• Epic EMR experience required

• Basic computer and web-based application navigation skills

• Experience in a teaching hospital preferred

• Level I trauma experience preferred

• Specialty-area expertise preferred
